WE MAY ASK YOU QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION

Everyone’s financial situation is different and everyone has different financial needs. In order to understand your situation we may ask you about your income or benefits, your expenses such as rent or your debts. We are not being nosey. It would not be good for anyone if you borrowed money you couldn’t pay back. Giving us some information about your financial situation helps us work out if you can afford a loan.

WE MAY ASK YOU TO PROVIDE US WITH DOCUMENTS

The law requires us to do certain things before we lend you money. In order to comply with the law and to make sure we have assessed your financial situation, we may ask you to provide us with the following types of documents:

  • Proof of identity such as a drivers licence or passport
  • Proof of your bank account
  • Proof of income such as a payslip

We may also need to talk to your employer to confirm your employment, after obtaining your permission.

WE WILL HELP UNDERSTAND YOUR LENDING REQUIREMENTS AND YOUR COMMITMENT TO US IF YOU BORROW FROM US

We will ask you how much you want to borrow, how long you need a loan, what you need the loan for and when you think you can repay it. Once we have a look at your situation, we may talk to you about changing the term or repayment plan if that we think the change is more suited to your financial situation.

We will make our terms and conditions available to you before you borrow money from us so you understand what your commitments are. We will also let you know the costs associated with borrowing money from us before you borrow from us.

WE WILL HELP YOU IF THINGS GO WRONG

We understand that things come up. If you find you are having difficulty making repayments, you should contact us as soon as possible. You should contact us as early as possible so that we can make arrangements to help you out. There are many ways you can get in touch with us.

We have implemented security measures to protect your information when you send us your application or you send us your documents.
